AJ Fernandez Bellas Artes Maduro Short Churchill – Cigar of the Year 2019
RM49.00 – RM55.00
The Bellas Artes Maduro is Cigar Journal’s Cigar of the Year for 2019, the second time AJ Fernandez has won this prestigious award after finishing top with the New World in 2014. The cigar uses a dark and oily Brazilian mata fina maduro wrapper, Mexican San Andrés binder and fillers from AJ’s own farms in Estelí, Nicaragua. The result is an extravagant and rewarding full-bodied smoke that delivers strength, balance and complexity in equal measure.

Bellas Artes is Spanish for “fine arts”, a description the AJ Fernandez Bellas Artes Maduro certainly lives up to. It delivers a wonderfully complex, sweet, creamy well-balanced smoke. The flavours are big, bold and unique, heavy on the chocolate with highlights of sour cream, sourdough bread, black pepper, apple, cherry, nutmeg, black coffee, orange peel, earth and supple leather. Go on, treat yourself!
