According to company founder Alan Rubin, the Alec Bradley Project 40 is an initiative to find a deeper understanding of why cigars have a positive cognitive impact on the mind and body. It’s an experimental cigar series based on the Project 40 concept, which suggests that 50% percent of personal happiness comes from genetics, 10% is based on circumstance, and the remaining 40% depends on outlook and mindset.
Whether it achieves Mr Rubin’s goals or not, the Project 40 is a remarkably good medium-bodied cigar. It’s made at Jesus Fuego’s Esteli factory using a Nicaraguan Colorado wrapper over a Brazilian Habano binder and Nicaraguan Corojo filler from Fuego’s own farms. It offers a smooth, creamy, bold and complex smoke with an excellent balance of sweetness and spiciness.

Video Review: Should I Smoke This?
The Alec Bradley Project 40 is a beautifully constructed cigar at a very affordable price. It produces rich, creamy smoke with flavours of chocolate, hay, toast, a little espresso, almonds, walnuts, raisins, cedar, leather, oak, black & white pepper, cinnamon and a buttery, nutty finish. It’s an any-time-of-day smoke, subtle enough to pair with morning coffee yet bold enough to enjoy after dinner. You no longer have to smoke a full-strength cigar to enjoy an authentic flavour bomb!
