Fonseca Cubano Exclusivo Robusto
RM32.00 – RM38.00
Top of the Fonseca range, the Fonseca Cubano Exclusivo is blended by 2008 Cigar of the Year winner Manuel Quesada. It uses tercio-aged Dominican Piloto Cubano and Nicaraguan Criollo filler tobaccos, with a Dominican Ligero binder and a very rare Cuban-seed Dominican Havana Vuelta Arriba wrapper. The cigar is medium-bodied, with a wonderfully expansive yet balanced flavour profile. It’s very good value and definitely worth checking out.

The Fonseca Cubano Exclusivo is gorgeous-looking and beautifully constructed with a gentle box-press. It opens with caramel, nuts, honey, cedar, cinnamon and earthy natural tobacco, with white pepper on the retrohale. The smoke remains sweet and creamy, with a pleasant slight saltiness and well-defined notes of nutmeg, chocolate, red grape fruitiness, citrus and natural tobacco. The finish is long and smooth, with a slight red pepper tingle on the palate. This is a perfect pairing with coffee, rum or the gentler malt whiskies.
Please Note: The Fonseca Cubano Exclusivo is NOT a Cuban cigar and has no direct connection to the Cuban brand of the same name.
