Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro Toro Especial
RM42.00 – RM48.00
The Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro is the latest in Drew Estate’s Herrera Esteli portfolio, named for master blender Willy Herrera. It is rolled entubado style by a small team of select rollers whose only other task is producing the famous (and famously expensive) Liga Privada series. It uses a stalk-cut Brazilian Mata Fina maduro wrapper over a sweet and spicy Connecticut broadleaf binder and extensively aged Nicaraguan filler tobaccos from Estelí and Jalapa. The resulting cigar is probably not what you were expecting. Instead of adding to Drew Estate’s range of notably bold and bombastic maduro blends, the Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro is subtle and refined, almost gracious in its flavour profile. This is a connoisseur’s maduro first and foremost.

The Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro is special in every way. The Allen brothers describe it as “The best use of Brazilian Mata Fina we have seen yet!” while Voodoo Review finds it “A uniquely smooth and relaxation-inspiring smoke.”
Every reviewer seems to enjoy a slightly different combination of flavours, a testament to the cigar’s complexity. However, most smokers can expect perfect construction, tons of smoke and an immaculate burn, accompanied by (in no particular order) smooth creaminess, leather, gentle pepper, floral notes, sweet cedar, subtle perfume notes, baking spices, macadamia, oak, molasses, lemon zest, rich coffee, cocoa, baker’s chocolate and leather. The finish is earthy, sweet and mildly spicy. This Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro is a truly exceptional cigar, so buy some before we smoke them all.
