The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT #142 Corona
The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT #142, released in 2018, is our favourite blend from the Foundation Cigar Company, thanks to its remarkable, richly flavoured wrapper. Foundation’s founder and master blender, Nick Melillo, has been working with hand-picked farmers in the Connecticut River Valley since 2014 to develop the hybrid Havana Seed CT #142 wrapper, which is unlike any other tobacco in the world. Due to the incredible amount of oil in the leaf, it takes 3 years to undergo the fermentation process. It is combined with a naturally sweet Mexican San Andres binder and Honduran Jamastran and Nicaraguan Estelí & Jalapa filler leaves to create a superb medium-full to full-bodied cigar. This exceptional blend should delight experienced smokers with its perfect combination of balance, boldness and rich flavours.

Video Review: Should I Smoke This?
The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT #142 is perfectly constructed with a lovely dark, red-tinged wrapper. It delivers thick, very creamy, almost buttery smoke with a nice dark caramel sweetness combined with slight saltiness. It begins with a blast of black pepper and dark chocolate followed by a perfect balance of savoury and sweet flavours. Expect distinct flavours of butterscotch, vanilla bean, cedar, espresso, baking spices, smoked meat, beef jerky, sweet soya sauce, citrus, red pepper and many more. Every reviewer finds a different portfolio of flavours in this wonderfully complex cigar. If you have a well-developed palate, this should be a no-brainer.
